FACT Polymer Testing System
Jul 2013

SHEFFIELD, England, July 25, 2013 — Ossila Ltd. has released FACT (Fast Automated Characterization of Transistors), a bench-side system for device fabrication and testing of polymers for organic electronics research.

Researchers can apply the polymers onto prefabricated test chips and run them through the system to measure electronic properties such as mobility in real time. The polymers are used in organic electronics such as OLEDs, organic photovoltaics and organic field-effect transistors.

The company says the light weight and flexibility of the polymers pave the way for their use in the next generation of applications, such as flexible displays, large-area lighting, solar energy and intelligent textiles.
