The DBS36 and DBS50 incremental encoders from Sick Inc. are available in 36- and 50-mm housings, respectively, for light-duty applications with limited installation space.

The devices are suited for applications requiring 100 to 2500 pulses per revolution. A universal cable outlet allows for flexible cable routing in either the axial or radial direction.

The encoders can also be used in dusty or humid environments due to their IP 65 enclosure rating. An operating temperature between –20 and 85 °C makes them suitable for use in outdoor applications, while a variety of mounting brackets and couplings ensures low-cost installation on packaging, printing, textile and woodworking machines.
