Framos GmbH is distributing a line of USB 3.0 cameras from Lumenera equipped with rev3, a sensor revision that provides increased analog gain and elimination of the “black sun effect.”

Based on the second revision of CMOSIS sensors CMV2000 (Lt225 model) and CMV4000 (Lt425), the 2- and 4-MP color and monochrome cameras capture images at up to 180 fps. They feature 5.5-μm pixel size, a blur-free global shutter CMOS sensor, low noise and high sensitivity. The near-IR variants offer very high sensitivity, suitable for astronomy applications.

The cameras measure 40 × 40 × 60 mm, with 16 mounting points.
