The JEP 5-400 GaP photodiode from Laser Components GmbH features a twofold increase in sensitivity compared with the JEA 2.2 device. The active area of this ultraviolet detector is 4.8 mm2. The device's spectral sensitivity between 250 and 400 nm is flat, making it suitable for flame detection, and its sensitivity is 104 lower above 400 nm. This photodiode can also make UV-C measurements.
