The MS-2000 low-mass X-Y microscope stage from Applied Scientific Instrumentation (ASI) provides increased thermal response times with less mass than the standard-model compact stage for stand-alone, industrial and specialty applications.
It measures 200 × 200 × 26 mm and offers 100 × 100 mm of X-Y travel with 100-nm resolution and 800-nm rms repeatability. It fits most upright microscopes and is also suitable for OEM applications.
Designed to reach thermal equilibrium faster, the MS-2000 has three-quarters the mass of a regular stage. It utilizes crossed-roller slides, leadscrews and zero-backlash miniature geared DC servomotors. The microprocessor-directed control unit communicates with a host computer via RS-232 or USB.
