BAL 670 Broad-Area Lasers

BERLIN, Feb. 4, 2014 — Eagleyard Photonics has unveiled the BAL-670-SOT23 and BAL-670-CMT02, two broad-area, 670-nm lasers that deliver 2-W peak power under pulse mode and 1.5 W under CW mode. They are suitable for metrology, sensing and medical equipment applications.

Built on a C-mount and housed in a hermetically sealed TO package, these models enable applications with a mandatory power need beyond 1 W, especially those requiring optimized heat dissipation.
