The HAPR0088 CATLAB integrated microreactor and mass spectrometer system from Hiden Analytical provides quantification of catalytic activity and thermal reaction processes in both R&D and QC laboratories.

The system monitors gas and vapor reaction products directly from sample positions through a primary interface embedded within a 1000 °C fast-response furnace. Optimum system performance down to 0.1 mL with cartridge-style holders enable fast and accurate sample placement.

Programmable LABview-based software can define the furnace temperature profile and ramp rate, form data acquisition parameters and select valve switching functions. Eight mass flow controllers establish gas and vapor flow, while the temperature profile determines trigger points to change gas composition, inject gas pulses and control data acquisition.

The CATLAB system is engineered for combined reactor and mass spectrometer operations, but can be decoupled to enable operation as a standalone laboratory and process gas analyzer.
