CHELMSFORD, Mass., July 8, 2014 — The conical-diffraction off-plane x-ray Czerny-Turner (OP-XCT) monochromator from McPherson is used for laser-generated high-harmonic experiments.

Designed for operation from 8 to 125 nm (10 to 150 eV), the OP-XCT operates as a monochromator or imaging spectrograph. With a coarse diffraction grating and CCD, it surveys broad extreme UV wavelength swaths, dispersing from 10 to 140 nm on a detector 12 mm wide. With a 50 µm source and a CCD detector, the 800 mm focal length resolving power is better than 300 at 25.6 nm (48 eV).

Available in high-vacuum or ultra-high vacuum versions, the OP-XCT is a tool for photoemission spectroscopy and pump probe angle resolve photoemission spectroscopy.
