TRING, England, July 24, 2014 — The SIMX from Specialised Imaging Ltd. is a high-speed framing camera with high-resolution intensified CCD sensors.

The camera can be configured to give up to 16 multi-spectral images at 1 billion fps, with red, green and blue filters on each channel. In this configuration, it is possible to take 10 color images and two monochrome.

The SIMX can be used in applications including ballistics, biomedical research, combustion research, failure dynamics, impact studies, materials research, medical testing, nanotechnology and particle analysis.
