TWINSBURG, Ohio, Aug. 14, 2014 — Using an eye-safe Class 1 red laser light, the R2000 UHD Laser Scanner from Pepperl+Fuchs delivers precise, high-resolution distance measurement.

The IP65-rated 2-D photoelectric sensor uses pulse ranging technology and a rotating head to deliver 360° measurement. Reflectors can be detected up to 60 m (197 ft) away, while other objects can be detected up to 10 m (33 ft) away.

Featuring a 50-Hz scan rate, the scanner can detect protrusions or obstacles over a large area at high speeds. It is suited for material handling and ASRS applications.
