BURLINGTON, Mass., Aug. 15, 2014 — New 3-D line scan color cameras from Chromasens capture stereo images and processes them in real time.

The 3DPIXA offers resolution of 15 µm/30 µm and a line frequency of up to 22 kHz. The 3DPIXA dual system offers resolution of 10 µm and a line frequency of up to 50 kHz, which can inspect at speeds of up to 500 mm/s.

The camera is suited for inspection of moving objects such as miniature electronics components, as well as color/shape verification of pharmaceutical and food products, quality control of embossed or coated printed items, and surface inspection of automobiles and natural materials including leather, wood and stone.
