MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Canada, Aug. 21, 2014 — Excelitas Technologies is expanding its OmniCure AC series of UV LED curing solutions with a new PLC2000 controller and AC optical adapter, providing flexibility and process control to expand the system’s range of applications.

The PLC2000 can be used to adjust output intensity, exposure time and on/off capabilities while providing system information and error-monitoring features. The controller also supports RS232 and RS485 communications to allow the connection, access and control of multiple UV LED heads through a single computer terminal.

The AC optical adaptor gives manufacturers the flexibility to convert a high-irradiance, focused exposure area into a larger area and maintain illumination uniformity.

The system offers manufacturers high throughput and low-temperature curing of adhesives and coatings for fiber, compact camera module assembly, film lamination and medical device manufacturing.
