MEERSBURG, Germany, Nov. 12, 2014 — The PartInspect M scanning system by Aicon 3D Systems offers fully automated 3-D scanning regardless of environmental conditions.

The enclosed white-light system uses the Breuckmann stereoSCAN or smartSCAN, with measuring fields ranging from 75 to 350 mm. It can be used on test objects as large as 300 × 400 mm and weighing up to 15 kg, providing a field accuracy of up to 0.008 mm.

Applications include inspection of small-batch series, random sample checks, reverse engineering or component measurements.
