ZURICH, Nov. 14, 2014 — A new lock-in amplifier with an integrated digitizer from Zurich Instruments is suited for use in various laser spectroscopy applications

Paired with a photodiode, the UHFLI can analyze and modulate laser signals. Raw signals can be acquired with the full bandwidth of the digitizer for later post-processing; the lock-in amplifier can also extract the smallest signals from the noise.

Included LabOne software supports simultaneous signal measurement in the frequency and time domains and offers a suite of analysis tools. Applications include nonlinear optical and coherent Raman microscopy, THz spectroscopy, phase-domain fluorometry, frequency combs and tandem demodulation.
