HUDSON, N.H. — Nutfield Technology D-20Nutfield Technology has introduced the D-20, a fully digital, encoder-based X-Y scan head suitable for micromachining, laser drilling and welding, laser ablation, materials processing, precision scribing and surface treatment.

The D-20, which serves as a building block for laser beam positioning systems, interfaces with the proprietary WaveRunner scan control software and Pipeline/Surfboard control hardware. The company’s XY2-100 interface provides the scan head with 16-bit addressability, and 20-bit addressability is also available. The XY2-100 integrates with PC-based hardware and software packages for marking and micromachining.
