LEDs offered by Roithner Lasertechnik GmbH for illuminating CCD cameras, far-distance optical remote controls, optical communications systems and industrial measurement systems have an expected lifetime of 25,000 h. Six well-cooled LED chips are soldered in an aluminum heat sink, allowing continuous drive currents of up to 300 mA. Wavelengths and powers available include 660 nm/90 mW, 810 nm/250 mW, 880 nm/250 mW and 920 nm/250 mW. Emission angles of 20°, 40°, 120° and 140° can be selected.
