JENA, Germany, April 28, 2015 — With an optimized, intelligent bar design, the JenLas QCW Cool laser stack from Jenoptik Laser GmbH enables extremely high light output powers for various quasi-CW applications.

When equipped with eight laser bars, the device offers an optical output power of 580 W for 100-ms pulses at 20 percent duty cycle. In long-pulse mode, the stack design permits a lifetime of 15 Mshots.

Despite its dense arrangement of bars, the stack has low thermal resistance from directly integrated tap water cooling.
