SAN JOSE, Calif., May 18, 2015 — Avago Technologies industrial fiber optic productsAvago Technologies U.S. Inc. has announced an array of industrial fiber optic products targeting renewable energy, industrial motor-drive and transportation applications.

High-voltage galvanic insulation links suppress transient peak voltages up to 50 kV, per IEC 60664-1 specification.

Compact 650-nm plastic optical fiber (POF) transceivers with bare fiber locking system support serial data communications from 100 Mb/s to 1 Gb/s. A locking mechanism eliminates the need for connectors.

Enhanced 650-nm versatile link fiber optic receivers support data rates from DC to 5 MBd. Distances up to 50 m can be linked using 1-mm 0.5-NA POF and up to 500 m using 200-μm 0.37-NA plastic-clad fiber.
