HØRSHOLM, Denmark, June 12, 2015 — Delta Optical Thin Film AS and Edinburgh Biosciences Ltd. have jointly announced the Laser Optical Multilayer Attenuator (LOMA).

The LOMA is based on optical thin film coating technology with a tolerance for high laser power and no absorption. The laser beam is transmitted without distortion of beam profile. No extra optics are required.

Even with short laser pulses, no pulse broadening is observed. The optical coating is designed for a range of laser wavelengths and works independently of polarization.
