PicoQuant VisIR-765 STEDOffering ultrashort pulse widths optimized for microscopy applications, the VisIR-765 STED (pictured) and VisUV lasers from PicoQuant GmbH are based on a master oscillator fiber amplifier concept with frequency conversion.

The VisIR-765 STED delivers optical output power up to 1.5 W at 766 nm with a laser pulse width of 500 ps. The VisUV can generate light at 266, 355 or 532 nm. Average output powers between 2 and 500 mW are offered, depending on the wavelength and amount of beam outputs chosen. Pulse widths of <70 ps are achieved.

The VisUV is suited for fluorescence lifetime applications, while the VisIR-765 has been developed for stimulated emission depletion (STED) microscopy.
