Point Grey Grasshopper3 GS3-U3-120S6Point Grey Research Inc. has announced the 12-MP Grasshopper3 GS3-U3-120S6 CCD vision cameras, based on color and monochrome versions of the 1-in. Sony ICX834 global shutter CCD sensor.

The cameras feature 3.1-μm pixels and image resolution of 4242 &mult; 2830 running in dual-tap at 7 fps. Frame-buffer-based architecture provides optimal performance and reliability.

With high-resolution CCD image quality, high dynamic range and USB 3.0 interface, the devices are suited for a variety of applications, including industrial inspection, 3D scanning, microscopy and mobile mapping.
