The system is available with a bulge-measurement feature to ascertain the size of carton bulges without needing to know the original carton size. The carton edges are measured to identify any differences as a defect or bulge. The feature of the VLG ensures that goods are suitable to be conveyed, allowing them to be safely sorted by sorting machines such as show sorters, cross-belt sorters and tilt-tray sorters.
