SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 2, 2015 — Pulsed LaserThe Flare NX series from Coherent Inc. is a range of compact, short-pulse, solid-state lasers that enable analytical measurements, laser microdissection, and laser-induced fluorescence with high speed and process quality.

The lasers have high pulse energies of  >500 μJ at 1030 nm, >300 μJ at 515 nm and >100 μJ at 343. High beam qualities (M2) <1.2 are featured with short pulsewidths of about 1 ns.

High pulse energy leads to improved signal-to-noise ratios, requiring fewer pulses per measurement. High beam quality yields higher spatial resolution in microscopy applications.
