MENLO PARK, Calif. — InVisage Technologies Inc. has announced the Quantum13 camera sensor, capturing full tonal ranges in high and low light.

A smartphone camera sensor with an electronic global shutter, the device uses quantum dot film, QuantumFilm, to capture light. A natural light response curve matches the human eye, producing a single-shot, high-dynamic-range mode called QuantumCinema.

The sensor allows smartphones to capture crisp still photos of fast-moving subjects at full-frame shutter speeds and delivers 2K and 4K video without any rolling shutter distortion.
