NORCROSS, Ga. — Fiber Cable OFS Fitel LLC has announced the MiDia 2GX cable, increasing fiber density and enhancing performance for metro networks.

The microcable enables tight, low-loss bends without risking fiber strength or long-term reliability. They occupy 36 percent less area than conventional 250-µm coated fibers, enabling smaller diameter cables with a greater number of fibers per tube to minimize cabled diameters in congested duct networks.

The MiDia 2GX microcable is designed for seamless installation into existing microduct networks.
