Polarization-maintaining fiber optic couplers from Micro-Optics Inc. feature >20-dB extinction ratio, <2-dB excess loss and >55-dB return loss. The 1 x 8 couplers are available in Panda, bow tie, oval-clad and other types of fibers. High-extinction-ratio PM fiber connectorization also can be obtained. Suitable applications include PM signal multiplexing, PM erbium-doped fiber amplifiers, CATV transmission systems, sensors and instrumentation.
