Nd:YAG LaserQuantum Composers Inc. has announced the MicroJewel ultracompact, neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd:YAG) laser.

The diode-pumped, solid-state laser features a high-performance multiwavelength Jewel and mid-IR option. The MicroJewel is the perfect solution for customers who have limited space and or limited power. Military-grade mounting for resonator optics make it rugged and robust.

At 3 in. and just under 40 g, the laser is designed to be integrated into systems requiring a small footprint, including compact, handheld units. It serves a variety of industrial and laboratory applications including laser radar, breakdown spectroscopy, particle image velocimetry and cube satellite systems.
