STOCKHOLM — Fiber Preparation DeviceThe AUTOPREP 3 fiber preparation device from Nyfors Teknologi AB is designed for automatic stripping and cleaving of fibers with extremely fast cycle times.

The fully automatic, high-speed system comes with an integrated touchpad and WiFi capabilities and is able to strip, clean and cleave a fiber in <15 s. A precise thermal stripping device leaves a clean stripping area and retains a fiber strength of >30 N. The stripper uses a controlled hot air-flow that instantly vaporizes acrylate-based fiber coating. The cleaver uses reliable tension and scribe technology, achieving cleave angles of <0.5° with minimal blade intrusion.
