KARLSRUHE, Germany — Filament Inspection SensorThe EyeFI sensor from EVT Eye Vision Technology GmbH is designed for the inspection of filaments.

The device contains two perpendicular cameras with an Aptina sensor and an S-mount lens. It is possible to inspect two sides of the filament, making the sensor able to detect out-of-roundness filament, errors and defects.

The housing is 14 x 10 x 4 cm in size. The IoCap image-capture-IO-board is designed and produced by EVT. The board has four inputs and four outputs, a 12- to 24-V IO voltage and a GigE interface. The camera sensor is a 1/3-in. CMOS sensor with the possibility of 60 fps.
