GARBSEN, Germany — Atomic Layer DepositionLaseroptik GmbH has announced atomic layer deposition for 3D laser optics.

The chemical vapor coating technique has been adapted for precision laser optics to provide highly uniform multilayer coatings on complex substrates like prisms, axicons, tubes or hemispheres. The coatings have shape-independent uniformity, high coating design precision, low defect density and high spectral performance.

The coatings range from UV to IR.
