FRAUNFELD, Switzerland, Aug. 17, 2017 — CMOS CamerasThe Baumer Group has announced the LX series of global shutter CMOS cameras with the CMV50000 CMOS sensor by Ams Sensors Belgium.

The new LX cameras feature a compact, 60 × 60-mm housing, delivering up to 15 fps at the full resolution of 7920 × 6004 pixels. Highly dynamic processes such as the inspection of PCBs, wafers, surfaces and displays as well as track and trace applications can benefit from high-resolution images with reliable detection of even the finest details and the slightest deviation.

The integrated CMV50000 sensors feature high image quality, low dark noise and a high dynamic range of 64 dB. Global shutter eliminates motion artifacts. Fixed pattern noise correction corrects vertically arranged pixels to ensure image homogeneity. Offering a choice between Dual GigE or Camera Link interfaces, the LX series offers high flexibility in camera integration.
