SARGANS, Switzerland — Time-of-Flight SensorThe epc611 time-of-flight sensor from Espros Photonics AG provides high photon sensitivity, a substantial distance measurement frame rate and versatility.

With its small footprint of 2.6 × 2.6 mm and bare die packaging, the epc611 allows up to 8000 distance measurements/s. This measurement rate makes the chip ideal for SLAM applications with up to 10-Hz rotation and high angular resolution. The epc611 can be configured to operate in seven different time-of-flight modes.

Applications include gesture recognition, robotics, drones, automated guided vehicles, doors and gates, machine safety, and more.
