Integrated L-Band Components and Modules

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 4, 2018 — A suite of integrated optical components and modules in the L-band have been developed by Oclaro Inc. to allow data center customers to expand capacity on interconnects between data centers on existing optical fiber.

The portfolio includes a 64-Gbaud micro-intradyne coherent receiver (micro-ICR), a 32- or 64-Gbaud integrated coherent transmitter (ICT), a 100-kHz micro-integrated tunable laser assembly (micro-ITLA), a 64-Gbaud high-bandwidth co-packaged driver modulator (HB-CDM) and a high-bandwidth LiNbO3 polarization multiplexed quad Mach-Zehnder (PM-QMZ) modulator.

The solutions will enable transmission up to 600 Gbps per wavelength for long-haul, regional, metro and data center interconnect applications.
