SANTA ROSA, Calif., May 4, 2018 — Gas Detecting ModulesGas-detecting modules from smartGAS are now available from Electro Optical Components Inc.

The nondispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor modules can detect extremely potent SF6 greenhouse gas (sulfur hexafluoride) insulating leaks from high-voltage switches. SF6 is extremely harmful to the environment. The devices can detect SF6 gas at levels as low as 0.5 ppm.
