WATERLOO, Ontario, May 7, 2018 — LWIR CamerasThe Calibir series of LWIR cameras from Teledyne DALSA features an integrated mechanical shutter.

Although the cameras are shutterless, the mechanical shutter can be used as needed to overcome specific challenging conditions. With their compact design and low weight, these cameras can be integrated into tight spaces for confined and low-profile solutions. The models feature a precise time protocol, which allows exact synchronization of multiple cameras in both the visible and IR spectrum and easier design of networked camera solutions without the need for complex and specific trigger and synchronization hardware.

The Calibir series supports a variety of interfaces, lenses, image-processing features, and hardware options that serve a wide range of uncooled LWIR imaging applications, including defense and security, unmanned aerial vehicles, surveillance, thermography, and industrial vision. The series architecture lends itself easily to customization of cameras and cores, with options that include wafer-level packaged devices, smart embedded algorithms, and real-time fusion imaging.
