ANDOVER, Mass., June 20, 2018 — Test TargetsThe Newport Super High Resolution USAF test targets from MKS Instruments Inc. are designed for high-resolution microscope systems.

The targets are mounted in a black-anodized aluminum microscope slide and created with nanometer-scale elements. With a minimum feature size of a 137-nm bar width, MKS provides high-resolution test targets. They conform to U.S. Air Force MIL-STD-150A.

With microscope systems going to higher and higher resolution levels, scientists require special tools to test their most demanding optical systems. The target area is quartz with 1000 Å of chrome to ensure highest contrast.
