The company says the collimators' 1-mm-diameter lenses provide a 20% larger effective area than standard-size lenses. The gradient-index profile of the Selfoc lenses has been optimized for low-loss coupling characteristics and working distances of 100 mm or more. Single- and dual-fiber configurations are available.
