A Q-switched laser from Coherent Inc., Laser Group, is suitable for scientific and industrial applications, including materials processing and Ti:sapphire and dye laser pumping. The Corona 532-75's intracavity-doubled design provides an average power of more than 75 W at 532 nm at 10 kHz, and >7 mJ of pulse energy. It produces 100-ns pulses with >700 kW peak power and a repetition rate variable from 5 to 25 kHz. The company says its high repetition rate can increase manufacturing throughput, and the short pulsewidth can produce elevated green peak power levels for more effective processing and laser pumping. The diode-pumped solid-state laser measures 24 x 7.5 x 5 in.
