LT Industries Inc. has designed a family of near-infrared analyzers for the pharmaceutical and functional food industries. The PhytoScan-B system can monitor solid samples of plants for the presence and concentration of active phytochemicals, and the PhytoScan-L model is used for fluid samples. Both devices are powered by the company's near-infrared scanners that capture more than 1000 wavelengths per scan, allowing the systems to measure moisture, fat and protein simultaneously.
