Advanced Photonix Inc. says the large active area allows detection of greater beam movement and provides a wider field of view, while the low dark current and noise characteristics enhance the positional sensitivity. Packaging options include TO-5, TO-8 and TO-18 cans, and injection-molded plastic encapsulation.
