The model 8800D from Analog Modules Inc. provides continuous-wave (CW) or pulsed output currents to drive laser diodes for pumping solid-state lasers. It can be configured with a 1.5- or 3.0-kW internal power supply, and it can deliver CW current up to 40 A and pulsed current up to 300 A. The device can be configured for positive or negative output, and it can drive loads up to 280 V. An adjustable current limit protects the laser diode from exceeding its maximum rating.
