The GDA series of glow discharge spectrometers has been released by Spectro Analytical Instruments. The Spectruma GDA 150, suitable for the production environments of heat-treating and coating companies, performs measurements from 30 s to 5 min. The Spectruma GDA 750 is designed to analyze up to 62 elements in boundary layers of metallic materials in the laboratory. Coatings can be measured to depths as low as 200 µm with resolution of one atomic layer on the surface and 10% relative in deeper regions.
