Specialty Single Mode Fibers (SSMF) are being offered by Fiberguide Industries with wavelengths from 1310 to 1550 nm. They can be coated with acrylate, silicone/nylon, polyimide, aluminum or gold. The SSMFs can be used in applications, including sensors and photonics packaging, and can be operated in high-stress environments. Operating wavelengths can be customer specified.
