A single-chip, three-band-tuner integrated circuit (IC) for cable modems and set-top boxes has been introduced by Infineon Technologies. The TUA6030 is available for analog and digital terrestrial and cable broadcast receivers. The company says it offers a one-chip RF front-end design solution for DVB-T, ATSC, analog, PAL, NTSC and open cable standards. This IC power consumes <0.5 W and operates in the low and high VHF.
