Dalsa Corp. has added two higher-resolution line-scan cameras to its Piranha line, enabling larger areas to be imaged at higher line rates than was possible with the earlier versions. The cameras, designated CT-P4 (four tap) and CL-P4 (two tap), feature 6144 or 8192 pinned photodiode pixels, respectively, and 25 MHz per tap. Suitable for large web inspection, postal sorting or very high resolution imaging, they output the most significant eight bits from 10-bit digitizers. The company says they retain the low noise, high responsivity, CE-compliance and LVDS output of the original versions.
