The VisIR2 optical parametric oscillator from GWU-Lasertechnik GmbH provides typical spectral resolution of <5 cm-1in a setup with few optical components in the resonator. Manual or computer-controlled wavelength-scanning models are available, as well as optics for commercial pump lasers. The device features conversion efficiency well above 20% in the visible range and frequency doubling down to ~200 nm. The company says it does not require a seeded Nd:YAG laser as a pump source, which reduces the price for tunable coherent light.
