tTestThermotron has developed environmental test chambers for fiber optic and photonic components. They feature fiber management trays and access ports designed to minimize moisture and heat leakage and to reduce the risk of damaging fragile fiber optic cables. Product trays can be introduced or removed without compromising internal environmental conditions. The chambers cover a range of humidity and temperature performance conditions: 10% to 98% relative humidity and -73 to +177 °C. The equipment can perform high- and low-temperature storage tests, temperature cycling, damp heat, cyclic moisture resistance and thermal shock test specifications. Upright chambers in the 8- to 10-cu-ft range can be loaded with five fiber management trays per side with each tray holding up to 11 components.
