Elmo Manufacturing Corp. has designed a line of microcameras for machine vision applications that require increased productivity and improved quality control. The cameras can be operated remotely to produce images from tight, inaccessible or hard-to-reach areas. The line comprises a series of CCD color remote-head cameras with separate camera control units. Three types of camera heads are available, including a 17-mm lipstick-size micro, along with a standard C-mount compact and a camera control unit that can be used with any of the camera heads.
