StockerYale Inc. has released its Lasiris Micro-Focus Laser. The MFL series projects a 5.5-µm (±0.75 µm) line at 1/e2 out of a fully operational 5° fan-angle laser line projector. Standard and custom models offer thermal stability, electrostatic discharge protection and a protected, integrated laser diode driver. Other features include uniform intensity distribution, reverse-polarity protection, overvoltage protection, a stainless steel housing and an operating range from -10 to +48 °C. The lasers are suitable for machine vision, 3-D contour mapping and inspection of small parts such as semiconductors, small pins, connectors and resistors.
