Request InfoNewport - New FocusA hybrid device that provides the dual functionality of a polarization beam combiner and an isolator has been released by New Focus Inc. The company says the iPBC permits the use of fewer or lower-power pump lasers for a more cost-effective network with higher capacity and longer reach. Specifically designed for high-power Raman and erbium-doped fiber amplifiers, the component combines the power from two pump lasers and provides isolation from destabilizing backreflected light. The iPBC operates over a wide wavelength range and accommodates a variety of pump lasers.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaWEBINARSPhotonics.com 7/20/2023Motorized and Calibrated Lenses for Machine Vision ApplicationsMany applications have benefited from motorized varifocal lenses that allow automatic or remote adjustment of focus distance and field of view.
